Mii de oameni au participat duminică la un nou protest în capitala Georgiei, Tbilisi, împotriva proiectului de lege privind „influența străină”. Criticii interni și țările occidentale au spus legea că va fi folosită pentru a reprima vocile independente, așa cum se întâmplă în Rusia.
Noi măsuri de represiune împotriva presei independente din Rusia au fost luate în weekend. Doi jurnaliști care au presupuse legături cu Fundația Anticorupție a lui Alexei Navalnîi și instituții de știri occidentale au fost arestați și acuzați de „extremism”.
Șeful Statului Major ucrainean, Olexandr Sîrski, avertizează că situația forțelor Kievului din est s-a deteriorat. Rusia atacă „de-a lungul întregii linii a frontului” și obține „anumite succese tactice”, spune oficialul militar, forțând trupele ucrainene să se retragă pe noi poziții defensive.
Protestatari armeni au blocat duminică o nouă șosea națională, Yerevan-Gyumri, pentru a cere guvernului să renunțe la planul de a ceda Azerbaidjanului mai multe teritorii din zona de frontieră, ca parte a unui acord de pace.

Un grup bipartizan de 14 senatori americani a avertizat într-o scrisoare către prim-ministrul georgian Irakli Kobakhidze că planul națiunii din Caucaz de a reintroduce o „lege a agenților străini în stil rusesc” ar putea duce la o schimbare a politicii SUA față de Tbilisi.
Autoritățile din Moldova au confirmat recent că exporturile câtorva uzine din stânga Nistrului către Rusia au fost oprite - e vorba despre mărfuri cu destinație dublă, civilă și militară. Europa Liberă a documentat tranzacțiile uneia dintre aceste uzine, Moldavizolit.
Rusia a continuat în weekend să atace infrastructura energetică a Ucrainei. Atacurile au început de vineri și au afectat mai multe termocentrale. Președintele Volodimir Zelenski spune că atacurile vizează obiectivele care exportă energie către UE.
Ministerul Justiției din Federația Rusă a spus vineri că a cerut Curții Supreme să interzică ceea ce numește „Mișcarea Internațională Separatistă Anti-Rusia”, o grupare care după toate aparențele nu există.
Secretarul general al NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, a declarat vineri, într-un discurs susținut în capitala Germaniei, Berlin, că Ucraina poate înfrânge Rusia pe câmpul de luptă, cu condiția ca Occidentul să furnizeze ajutoarele militare pe care le-a promis, scrie AFP, citat de News.ro.
Președintele rus Vladimir Putin a declarat joi că plănuiește să viziteze China în mai, după cum a raportat Reuters luna trecută.
